As a Licensed nutritionist, psychotherapist, certified chef and coach, I’ll provide you with cutting-edge, bite-size, easy-to-digest information about food, fitness and emotional-building strategies –skills and strategies that will change your life.
Once an athlete, always an athlete
Being an athlete has taught me life-saving skills that we can all apply in life like discipline, patience, and time management skills— essential for maintaining a happy marriage and raising 3 children while juggling the responsibilities of a full-time career.
From an early age, I embraced individual and team sports like T&F, basketball, softball, tennis and swimming. Athletes became my second family, a support system, my best friends. I learned regardless of race, culture, religion, or socioeconomic status we all spoke the same language of unity and teamwork. One for all, all for one.
In my 20s I pursued running, cycling and swimming, emerging as a professional triathlete and elite runner competing in more than in more than 35 marathons (PR 2:52:32), Ironman USA Lake Placid, hundreds of running and multi-sport races and as a member of TeamUSA in the World Long Distance Duathlon Championships in Fredericia, Denmark. While I have graduated from my days of competitive racing, I continue to train daily and leave time to enjoy other activities like Bikram Yoga & Zumba. In my Miami based practice, I have applied this personal experience and education, helping thousands of beginners to gold medalists representing more than 20 sports.
The truth is we are all athletes trying to navigate the marathon course of life—the ups, downs, opportunities and detours we face each day that challenge us to stay on track. This is the main reason why our nutritional needs and energy requirements are also distinct and unique to us changing throughout our lives.

Integrating all the moving parts, matching food intake to dietary needs is essential for balancing the body and maintaining optimal health. That’s what makes nutrition so exciting, it’s never stays the same even for the same person throughout the lifecycle. Maybe eating meat felt right as a child but vegetarianism works better as an adult. Perhaps Intermittent Fasting or Keto works best for your weight loss diet; there is a place for all plans if they work for YOU and keep you healthy all in one.
That’s why I love what I do, passionately working with men, women, teens and kids like you, to explore, create and formulate personalized dietary prescriptions to help you to achieve the weight, physique, energy levels and reach your personal goals.
The Optimal Health Journey
I won’t lie, the path to optimal health is not a direct path. There could be winding roads, hills and obstacles sometimes beyond your control that compete with your willpower, discipline and ability to stay focused on YOU! However, once you know what to eat, how to fuel your body, mind and spirit, the marathons of life will start to feel like 5Ks, and you’ll feel empowered to do whatever your heart desires.
In my blog, I promise not to hold back. I will tell it like it is be honest with you good or bad whether it’s the truth about the latest diet craze, breaking research or a new food trend. I will also share the trials and tribulations from my own personal health journey and demonstrate how nutritious food, exercise and mind-body therapies like meditation, acupuncture, kinesiology, Reiki, yoga, spiritual insight and deep breathing has helped me to survive and thrive despite the hard knocks I’ve experienced in life.
And while all our experiences are unique, the solutions for better health are often more similar and simpler than you think. I will show you how to find YOUR low hanging fruits, tangible and realistic tips to help you to handle the day- to- day and achieve your life dreams.
